In my last Blog entry, I speculated about the ongoing costs of Windows 10 after the initial Free for the First Year Free announcement. Well, there's more, and it's good news.
I don't know if it was there all along or not, but there is a small bit of text on the "about Windows 10" page on the Microsoft website here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/about
In the second section, it says this:
...once a qualified Windows device is upgraded to Windows 10, we will continue to keep it up to date for the supported lifetime of the device, keeping it more secure, and introducing new features and functionality over time – for no additional charge...
So, this definitely addresses the concern! It looks like you will NOT be charged for this new OS going forward if you make that first-year leap.
